A Brief Intro

Hey, my name is Michael Twining (yes, like the tea...). I'm a senior English major/Linguistics minor. I'm a romantic and an idealist, so I'm probably going nowhere in life. I love people in general. I used to work at a camp (Ozark), and I've been working at a church with a youth group for the past year or so. I try my best to model my life on the way Christ went about living, so that's a pretty big deal to me. I fail a lot though, haha. I'm a big fan of undeserved and steadfast love, whether that is for people you know, or people you've never seen before. Also, I love traveling and seeing new things. I've been alot of places with my family (two sisters, mom, and dad), and I've seen a lot, but it's never enough. I have a strange obsession with Disney movies (which I blame on my female dominated family), monsters (the friendly kinds), and walking. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is go on winter walks with coffee in hand. I'm a pretty avid coffee and tea drinker. I value wit over reason, hearing over sight, and knowledge over memorization. My favorite author is Hemingway, which is awkward considering his obsession with Bull-fighting, which brings us to the next topic...

Animals! I love my time around animals. I'm not obsessed, but they are a blast. I'm not the kind of person that is ever going to go to the SPCA and adopt 20 cats and a dog, but pets are great. Confession: I love meat. I've never been a vegetarian because frankly, I enjoy bacon a little too much. I do, however, believe that we, as a modern society, have serious problems with our food. Animals have become and industry, which doesn't seem right to me. Like, manufactured chickens? beef? seriously? Unfortunately, I'm not really in any position to do anything about it right now. It's cheaper to be unethical when it comes to food. The Wendy's dollar menu is terrible, haha. In conclusion: if I was a monster I would be a ghost, if I was in a movie it would be Finding Neverland, and if I was a color I would be green.

I'm sure there is more stuff I wanted to type, but for the sake of time, I'm going to go ahead and call it quits for now.

I lied. I have to say that I love music. I'm more of a mellow person, so I find myself listening to alot of singer-songwriter stuff, but I'm definitely not limited to that. The end.

Theme song for the semester: Mr. Loco - Hombre Religioso.
